Our story
Maya Artisan Bakery takes its name from the Turkish word “maya”, meaning “yeast.” For us, maya is more than what makes dough rise. It is a symbol of patience, tradition, and human connection. Throughout history, the sharing of bread has marked the beginning of community and civilization.
In our bakery, we honor this legacy. Every loaf is crafted with care, by hand, and with respect for time. Our sourdough culture comes from a living starter that has been nurtured for years. Using only flour, water, salt, and time the purest gifts of nature. We create breads that are honest, wholesome, and full of character. Each loaf undergoes a patient 18 hour fermentation before it leaves our oven.
